I qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School in 1988 and did house jobs there and at the East Surrey Hospital. Having arrived in Chichester I never looked back and undertook GP training at St Richard’s Hospital and at Southbourne Surgery. I worked as a full time GP partner in Bognor Regis for 22 years, then changed my working pattern at the same surgery, becoming a part time salaried GP since 2017. My medical interests are particularly in diabetes and women’s health. My change in working arrangements was to allow 3 months' unpaid leave each year for cycling adventures. My husband and I cycle on a tandem and aim to have cycled from Chichester to the tip of South Africa by the time we are 60. We also run a children’s canoe club and enjoy sailing in the Solent.
