Dr Sim qualified at Aberdeen University in 1988, and finished his GP training in Inverness in 1992. After working in New Zealand for over a year, he returned to enhance his skills by doing further posts in obstetrics/gynaecology (Glasgow), paediatrics (Kidderminster), and palliative care (Myton Hospice, Warwick). He has also had a few months at being a student again while studying tropical medicine in Liverpool. He has been doing freelance GP work since 1996, initially in Birmingham, and then moved to Chichester in 2002 to be nearer the sea. Kitesurfing and skiing are his main hobbies. He and his partner Louise are to be found at West Wittering or Hayling on most windy days that they are not at work (as long as it's not too cold!).
BM DRCOG DFSRH MRCGP
I qualified from Southampton in 2005. I started my career training to be an anaesthetist but I feel more at home in my GP role. I qualified as a GP in 2014 and have since worked a variety of roles including a telemedicine role, private health checks and the usual GP day to day in a surgery as a salaried GP. My interests include health education, contraception (I have my LoC in both implants and IUDs) and minor surgery. We have recently relocated to Liss after living in the New Forest for 8 years. I enjoy spending time with my family, cycling, walking and baking.
MBBCH
I hold an MBBCh from Suez Canal University in Egypt since 2015 and have completed an internship with rotational experience in medical and surgical specialties. I served as a General Practitioner with the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population, honing my ability to manage a wide spectrum of patient conditions in a dynamic and resource-limited environment. Since I first arrived in the UK in 2018, I held various clinical roles at West Suffolk Hospital (DGH) and John Radcliffe Hospital (Trauma Centre), gaining extensive experience in a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions in both adult and paediatric populations, allowing me to handle complex cases and work effectively under pressure. In 2021, I started my GP training which provided a comprehensive exposure to both inpatient and community care settings. This experience has equipped me with a holistic understanding of patient care across different stages of life and medical conditions. I have experience in teaching medical students and I aspire to offer support and supervision when required. Fluent in Arabic and English, I am skilled at communicating with diverse patient populations. My medical interests include diabetes, gastroenterology, cardiology, geriatrics and minor surgery. I enjoy weight lifting, playing and watching football, and hiking.
MBChB Bsc DRCOG PGCE
I trained at Manchester University and continued with foundation training in the area, and completed the GP training scheme in Salford and Trafford. After qualification I became a salaried doctor at a practice in Leeds and worked as a locum with the Yorkshire Medical Chambers for the last 9 years. I am now pursuing my career down south, along with raising two children, due to my husband's role as a consultant surgeon. My specialties are Women's health, Medical Law and Medical Education, having completed DRCOG, PGCE in workplace based medical education and a BSc in Medicine, Law and Ethics. I enjoy cycling and walking, anything that involves being out in the fresh air, no matter what the temperature, and ideally with some sunshine. I enjoy spending time exploring the countryside with my family, and taking time to read daily.
